I should be getting this game soon. From what it sounds like, Fox and Falco are going to be my main characters.
Any tips?

Well, as a Link and Samus user I can say that that quick Fox is a royal pain in the @#$%!! But you'll have to unlock Falco. Fox is there from the start. Your best bet is the Fox Flip kick, which is up-A. You can juggle enemies with that move. Also, use the blaster (B) to inflict quick damage. Be careful with Fox Illusion (B+> or <) because you'll illusion clean off the stage. Use Fire Fox (B+^) to get back on stage.
But just experiment around and find what is best for you. Read the GFAQs FAQs for each character.
